God is omnipotent. His power knows no limits, and He is able to do far more than we can ask or imagine. Scripture affirms this truth in many ways, and here are two powerful examples:
1). God Is Able to Bless Us Abundantly
“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” —2 Corinthians 9:8 (NIV)
Paul wrote this verse while commending the Corinthian church for their generous financial support toward others in need. He encouraged them to continue giving—not out of obligation, but from a joyful heart. As he says in verse 7:
“Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
God’s ability to bless us is not limited to material provision. He blesses us holistically—spiritually, emotionally, Physically and relationally—so that we may overflow in every good work. His abundance equips us to be a blessing to others.
2).God Is Able to Keep Us from Falling
“Now to him who is able to keep you from falling, and to make you stand without blemish in the presence of his glory with rejoicing, to the only God our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, power, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.” —Jude 24–25 (NRSV)
Living a victorious Christian life is not something we can achieve by our own strength. We stumble, we struggle, and we face temptations daily. But God is able to preserve us in this broken and sinful world. When we trust Him and seek Him in prayer, He strengthens us and keeps us from falling. More than that, He will present us blameless before His glorious presence—with joy!
