Kingdom of God

Matthew

1. Every Disciple of Christ must seek God’s Kingdom. In every situation of life a disciple of Christ must seek God’s kingdom.

2. Every disciple of Christ must be loyal to him. No king expects treason from his citizens. Lord Jesus demands the complete loyalty and obedience to Him. That is the only way to please this eternal king.

3. This Kingdom is an expanding Kingdom. Matthew 13:31 – 31 – Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field, which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.”

Jesus spoke about the kingdom of God. His 12 disciples spoke about the Kingdom of God. Now millions around the world speak about this kingdom.

4. This Kingdom is costly. Matthew 13:44 – “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.”

A person may have to give up something in order to inherit this kingdom. Jesus paid a huge price for this Kingdom and it’s a costly kingdom and the grace bestowed is a costly grace yet it’s free!!!
